If you intend to sell textiles in the EU, you must comply with the Union's labeling requirements. In general, products must bear a label clearly identifying the composition of all textile fibers used and indicating any non-textile parts of animal origin.
Care labels provide guidelines to consumers about apparel care, best cleaning procedures to be used for a particular combination of fabric
Each label should state the fabric type and as a minimum include, in order, four symbols: washing, bleaching, drying and ironing
- to explain the composition of the fabric (in percentages, in descending order)
- to use a clear and legible text, written in a uniform way (with letters of the same type, the same size and the same style)
- to include a clear separation between information regarding the fabric composition and other types of information (for example those regarding the maintenance of the product)
